What do I do in my spare time?

Well, I tend to help Open Source projects. Here is (hopelessly incomplete) list of my contributions:

pinfo is a great lynx-like info browser. I'm committing my changes to CVS tree at :pserver:anonymous@cvs.pld.org.pl:/cvsroot.
FakeBO is a fake trojan server for Unix machines. I contributed GNU Autoconf which was introduced in version 0.3.4. I'm committing to CVS tree at :pserver:anonymous@cvs.linux.hr:/cvsroot.
Remember dejanews? Do you hate new deja look? I do too, so I patched CGIProxy 1.1 to remove banners and other unwanted stuff. Get whole package here or see how it looks like or read thread about it on JustLinux! If you intend to use it, install your local version please! Last updated: 1999-12-22
GNU diffutils-2.7 won't compile on OSF. It really trivial problem, but here is patch for it.
NS-WebMail is a Perl WebMail featuring POP3 retrieval and SMTP sending of mails. I commit changes to SourceForge CVS repository.
I did quite a lot of hacking on MyLibrary portal for librarians. Most notable are: PostgreSQL support and coming database changes (in future version 3.x :-). My changes are integrated in CVS so there are no patches here.
ffproxy is a filtering HTTP proxy server with ability to filter by host, URL, and header. Custom header entries can be filtered and added. I needed just that, but as accelerator proxy (connecting to only one web server), so I wrote patches for versions 1.4 and 1.4.1 that adds support for acceleration proxy (whole archive for version 1.4.1 with http acceleration). Modified version of this patch will be included in version 1.5.
pen is a load balancer for "simple" tcp based protocols such as http or smtp. It allows several servers to appear as one to the outside and automatically detects servers that are down and distributes clients among the available servers. This patch adds option -1 which will always select first available server (useful if you want to have HA solution and your server or application doesn't know to to share session between more than one sever)

MagicPoint presentation package patch for different TrueType font encodings against version 1.04a or against version 1.05a . I recommend latter
Image Magick with Perl Magick is a great way to make pictures from scripts. So, I made patch for iso-8859-2 when using TrueType fonts against versions: 4.2.8 , 5.1.1 , 5.2.2 , or just try to apply it yourself. It's also funny how every new version of ImageMagick breaks this patch. Get spec file for rpm compilation. Warning: this is really cludgy, but it works for me...
webcal is a good web application for shared calendar. I translated it to Croatian and suggested adding iso8859-2 as a charset.
Patch for J-Pilot 0.95 to use librecode (part of recode 3.5) to change encodings. J-Pilot is a Palm Pilot conduct application. In current version it has Croatian charset which I implemented without dependency to external librecode.
AntiWord is very good MS Word viewer which shows text and can be started from mailcap. This patch adds iso8859-2 chars (in console mode only for now!)
tex2doc is MS Word macro to convert LaTeX documents to Word (why? yak!). Here is changed version with support for Croatian, and other small changes.
PhpWiki: a PHP WikiWikiWeb is great project. I made several patches to add functionality that I needed.

My passion is to port software to OSF (Digital UNIX) C2 security, so here are some patches for that...
I'm kidding, of course! I am just administrator of one such machine, so I have to do that...

ProFTPD patch for 1.2.0pre2 - submitted, it is included in current versions
cucipop 1.22 patch for C2 and patch to compile 1.31 . (Patch for 1.31 doesn't have support for OSF C2 security, I should merge those two patches)

Or just to fix software which doesn't work on OSF:

sitecopy which is good utility to maintain remote web sites. Version 0.6.0 had some problems with compilation on OSF, so I patched it.
freesweep is nice, minesweeper like game. I patched version 0.86 to compile on OSF. Version 0.88 works out-of-the-box on OSF.
MODular LOGfile ANalyzer is great program for analysis of log files. I wrote patch modlogan-0.5.4-intlfix.diff.gz which fixes small intl problems.
rinetd is is Internet redirection server. This patch rinetd-0.61-osf.diff.gz fixes problems with no allow/deny rules and compiling.

Document Manager is a document management system with the ability to check-in/check-out documents, track changes, and support multiple users.
PLies, perl-based tool to make HTML presentations
WebPAC, web library catalog (sometimes called OPAC) based on SWISH-E and perl. It uses OpenIsis for CDS/ISIS files, http feed for web listings, MARC files and other structured sources like M$ Excel files. Very much like commercial MPS search engine, but based on free, open components with ability to edit all settings without modifying code due to very flexible XML configuration files.

svn2cvs allows you to commit changes made to SubVersion repository also to (read-only) CVS repository
